Am suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. My work is about to get over and I don't know what I'm going to be obsessive about. This project was a CHALLNGE - a call... Get up early, go to work, here's your work... cut out... finish and GO BACK HOME LATE
Without it all I am finito.

Why Hrithik?

Why do I like Hrithik?
Mmmmmm... There must be reasons but the primary ones are:
That Face - Unbeatable. Unsurpassed, incredible beauty... But for the stubble he would've beaten Aishwarya Rai hollow.
That humility. It's incredible. I have seen his interviews on TV, read some stuff. That guy talks as if that beautiful face of his hasn't registered at all in his psyche. He doesn't strut the big stuff... he is grounded... he genuinely enjoys his baby and the fact that he's crazy about his wife.
Big gut feel: One day I'll be at an Imax and watching a Bond film and he'll be in it. You watch my words. He's incredible super gold stuff.

You cannot be forgotten
Your tiny hands don't exist any more
you eyes they've shut down in sleep
your voice it's silenced now and forever
your soul's wandered away from home
Today Angels have wept
and God seems quite bereft of answers
flowers, trees, the earth itself seem lost, forlorn
for they left innocence unprotected,
vulnerable, open to hurt
Let it be torn and butchered
And we went about our business as if nothing mattered and nothing was more important than filling petrol in our cars or filing income tax returns.
In this humdrum selfish living we all do
one last flailing feeble cry for help
went unheard.

PRAYERS FOR DEPARTED SOULS
We're back to Nithari again. Here's an excerpt from a discourse bySwami Krishanananda of the Divine Life Society, Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, India (Forest University Lecture given on All Souls Day).
"Glory of Prayer for All Souls
Our prayers are capable of producing an effect immediately. Our prayers are expressions of soul-consciousness. The prayers should be absolutely selfless. It is necessary that the idea of personal relationship should be removed when such prayers are offered. When such relationship is kept up, the prayer becomes slightly tinged with selfishness and loses its value. We must offer prayers for all souls with an impartial attitude. Only then will it be extremely powerful and bring the desired result. We offer prayers not because we want anything in return for the prayers, but because we wish to radiate peace in the universe. When collective Sadhana is done, when all people sit together and pray for the sake of the departed souls, it brings peace to everyone in this world, even the person who has departed and taken birth again - in fact, all living people will be benefited. Everyone's life will become peaceful and everyone will lead a happy life, on account of our charitable acts. It is really praying for the peace of the whole universe. So, this offering of prayers on this sacred All-Souls' Day is our attempt to bring peace to the universe and to realise in our practical life the oneness that is at the background of all phenomena. We are all one, whether we are in the physical body or astral body; each should be grateful to the other; each should pray for the other; each should wish the good and happiness of the other, so that the whole universe will be a heaven of peace, a resting place of divine consciousness."
FOR THE CHILDREN OF NITHARI

This is for all those children who were killed brutally in Noida.
There are little details every day of how they were brutally tortured and then killed. The way their bodies were dumped in drains near the killer's house... All of it tears at our hearts and conscience. The faces of the innocent people lured into that hellhole in Sector 31... each day we have to confront them. One wouldn't even want to think of the last moments of those children. The pain they went through and their fear... Somewhere one feels their energies still around, restless, unable to comprehend what happened to them.
As someone who stays near Noida - I feel we should wait till the authorities have done their investigations and then perhaps some of us should pray there, light candles, leave flowers... or just chant for the peace of the D-5 Victims. The dead should not be forgotten. The criminals will definitely be punished but the dead need our prayers more than justice. We have to help them find their path home from the hell they remain suspended in.
